On Global Meetings Industry Day, the world sees us as a powerful force, united in our passion to advance society. They see us as tireless advocates of a $1 trillion industry dedicated to breaking down barriers by organising face-to-face business events. In January 2019, PCMA launched the first Global Forum on Economic and Social Progress bringing together government, business leaders and industry to engage in meaningful dialogue on the challenges and opportunities ahead of us. It is exciting to see our industry seize the spotlight. I am proud of PCMA chapters hosting events to advocate the profound effect business events have on society and the economy. Our industry is sending a clear message today: Meetings are the catalyst for global change.”
